Final Project Kickoff & Farm Visit

Introduction

The final project begins this week. Students will transition from individual projects to a team-based real-world agricultural data science project.

  3. Establish project teams, roles, and milestones

  4. Begin developing a project plan

Lecture - Final Project Kickoff

Introduction to the final project, project expectations, scope, and deliverables.

Lab - Farm Visit

Visit a farm to observe agricultural data collection and understand how data are generated and used in practice.

Discussion - Final Project Planning

Teams discuss their project objectives, roles, data needs, and initial milestones.

Assignment

Develop an initial final project plan, including the project question, team roles, data needs, and next steps.
